Some websites operates behind sample http authentication. This can be for the purposes of preventing search engine index or security measurement. A sample http authentication prompt can look like below: (The look and feel differs depending on operating systems/browsers)
For these websites, a snapshot would look completely blacked out as shown below. This is due to BackTrac’s inability to capture the page screenshot without knowing the authentication details to the website.
This can be simply set in the project settings menu under “Environments” tab
Simply check the “Password protected (HTTP basic auth)” checkbox and supply the accompanied username/password. Once you have saved the settings and re-run the snapshot, you will be able to see screenshots being properly captured.
